Teodora Yankova

Lecture

My name is Teodora Yankova and I am a newborn photographer. I graduated from SVA – school of visual arts New York. For years I have traveled around the world to shoot landscapes. I sold stock photos and worked on projects for National Geographic. While traveling, I always admired the work of Anne Geddes – the first newborn photographer – and although at the time I didn’t even have the idea of having children I admired these photos so much. I bought her products with newborn photos and collected them. After a few years I saw that there was a New York training and I left for the United States. I did some training there, my favorite speakers there are Kelly and Tracy – they taught me many things.

So 11 years ago I decided to get into newborn photography. I made the first studio only for newborn babies and I shoot only newborn to this day. I have shot for 5800 children so far. In 2015, I had the good fortune to meet Anne Geddes in person and attend her conference and seminar. I have learned many useful things about marketing newborn babies.

I am also proud that I have succeeded in fulfilling one big dream of mine – to issue a new calendars with pictures of premature babies, through the sale of which we have been able to donate two special masses to support the life and parameters of premature babies. The campaign continues from 2015 to today – already 6 years old and our big goal is ambulance for premature babies since we are the only country in Europe without one.
